Creating Leads, Capturing Email, Converting to Sales
The process behind all on-line marketing boils down to the three C's.
Lead capture pages must be compelling and offer some value, most often free content the person can get to immediately for giving you their email address. Of course, before that all happens, you need to drive traffic to your lead capture page.
Once you do get an email address, you need to have some sort of auto-responder system, like Aweber, to capture the lead, and immediately start sending an automated series of emails that will appeal to your prospect.
These emails must develop trust, offer value, and address what it is that your prospect is seeking.
Relating to your prospect is critical to converting them. You must identify with what their problem is, state the problem, state the consequences of not addressing their problem, and then offer a solution to their problem.
Of course, in each email you do not want to hammer them over the head to 'buy now'. You do want to keep in touch with them almost daily, but you need to be personable, build trust, and offer them free content that is useful to them.
Also, you want to tell stories, and keep them anticipating your next email.
It's OK to tell them to unsubscribe if they feel they are not receiving value from your emails. You do not want your list cluttered with people not interested in you.
Driving traffic, the first C, can be done in many ways. Social media is a fantastic way to drive traffic without having to spend money. So if you have a low budget, a great way to generate traffic is to search for some keywords on Facebook of things you are interested in. Then filter the search results by 'people', so you get only people in the results.
At that point, look through the results, go to a persons page, and learn a little bit about them. Then, send them a message. Do not solicit them, use the intelligence you got by reading their face book page and start up a conversation where you are connecting with them, and getting their interest.
The idea is that if they respond back, you really try to connect with them. That is why you want to search on keywords of things that interest you, so you can have a real conversation and over time try to connect with people.
At some point, they hopefully ask you what you do, and then you can tell them. But ask for their email address and send them a personal email with your information in it about what you are marketing.
